Indonesia: Color for Prosperity

Uji Handoko Eko Saputro aka Hahan’s ceramic artwork was inspired by the differences of culture, language and the belief to achieve mutual prosperity.

Every ethnicity is able to shape a new culture by assimilating different cultures and ethnical knowledge. Diversity is valuable and should not be avoided, but it should achieve mutual welfare and prosperity.

The sculpture comprised of individual copper-plated ceramic figurines in different colors with dreamlike expressions. They are interrelated to create a whole and represent a joint force and collective strength. In this ceramic artwork, the sculpture comprises of individual figures in different colors that are interrelated, creating a formation that presents a joint force.
