The 3rd Real Estate Development Talks (RED) on Thursday 30 March in the 668-seat Vancouver Playhouse theater was sold out. Who in Vancouver, the most walkable city in Canada, didn’t want to attend this iconic event and listen to the high caliber speakers and their thoughts on “Confronting Consensus”?Renu Bakshi led the audience through the fast paced 10-minute presentations of Steven Levitt – yes, Mr. Freakonomics himself -, Sonya Trauss from San Francisco and founder of SF Bay Area Renters Federation (SFBARF), Nick Buettner, a master storyteller concerned with our health, and Paul Kershaw, a top thinker on generational equity.
These well-known speakers, designers and industry experts shared their ideas, takes on latest trends and innovations in the real estate business. The guests who were predominately industry professionals and experts hung on every word these thought leaders who shared views on finding consensus and accepting – or not – challenges and conventions to make Vancouver the happiest most livable place.Vancouver is one of the fastest growing real estate markets in Canada and a bustling place to be.The event was organized by presenting sponsor WESGROUP Properties, a family-owned real estate development company that has been around for more than 50 years.
