From 22 to 25 March 2018, New York City’s piers 92 and 94 again transform into design heaven. The interior design show AD Design Show is in its 17th year and shows the best designs and luxury products and services the market has to offer. More than 400 companies from interiors, furnishing, décor, accessories, appliances, and even building products present their brand to the industry and the public. If there are new trends and novelties in home decoration, home renovation, connected homes, designs, electronics, lights, or surfaces, one can be sure to see them all right here in NYC.Besides the incredible trade exhibition, the seminar and conference program reads like the ‘Who’s Who’ of the design world. There are unmissable conversations with Laura Kirar, who was the designer we collaborated with for KALLISTA Vir Stil Minimal, Ryan Korban, and Robert Stilin. Or panel discussions and presentations that include top design leaders Aerin and John Loecke, Jeffrey Bilhuber, Victoria Hagan, and Genevieve Gorder, one of the former judges of The Apartment that Kohler Company sponsored in 2016.
On Saturday 24 March 2018, Amy Astley, AD Editor-in-chief, will give a keynote on the Dacor stage. The conference program and the exhibition floor are complemented with stunning installations, events, book signings, product launches, spotting of industry professionals, and the DIFFA’s DINING by design to raise funds for the foundation.
Apart from all North American designs and trends, there is a section with installations organized by the Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture Industries (AIMMP). The booths present a mix of design, innovation, technology, furniture, lights, arts and objects from design studios and companies such as Duquesa & Malvada, Muranti Furniture, MBN Group, and DeFontes. The design show is organized by Architectural Digest, an international design magazine for architecture, interior design, art and antiques and also stunning travel destinations. Every year, the magazine produces the AD100 List of top architects which is considered an index of talent in the industry. Many of the names listed there will be at the AD Design show in person.
