During 21 to 25 February 2018, IFEMA is organizing the 37th international contemporary art show ARCOMadrid in Madrid, Spain. 208 galleries from 29 countries are showing historical, avant-guard, contemporary, classical, and modern art to an eclectic audience of art professionals, curators, buyers, art lovers, and the general public.
The art pieces comprising paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, video new media, drawings, and etchings were carefully selected by the participating galleries and artists of different generations. The art represents the current climate in the art scene in Europe and around the world. The strong participation of Latin American galleries especially from Brazil reaffirms the continued dialogue between European and Latin American art enthusiasts. With the program ‘The Future’, the fair extends outside of Hall 7 and 9 of Feria de Madrid to give the visitors a chance to experience art and collections at the Museo Thyssen Bornemisza, the Matadero Madrid, CA2M, CentroCentro etc.Since 16 years, the organizers hold a Forum with discussions and talks about current creations and the art market. It is a place for the participants to network, to interact and to learn more about projects and future ventures.Design elements are also present during the art show.
