Hefei is the largest city of Anhui Province and sits about 130 kilometers West of Nanjing. To reach this dynamic fast-growing metropolis, it takes roughly three hours by train or car from Shanghai. It is in this landlocked province that the Bold. Art. exhibition concluded its last leg of the China tour during 4 to 12 November 2017.At the Wanda Plaza on Ma An Road which is one of 222 projects of the Wanda Group (with 50 more malls to open during 2017), the Taiwanese designer Yan Cheng Xun and our management team introduced the 13 artists and art pieces under the theme of ‘multiculturalism’ to the interested audience consisting of local designers and architects, media, and visitors to the mall. The design conversation provided a nice balance to the bustling, busy economy where everyone is rushing to the next big thing. As one of the 20 emerging cities of China, Hefei is still fairly small and trying to catch up with the bigger cities.
