In late August 2017, the Bold. Art. exhibition traveled to Shenzhen, a prosperous Chinese city with over 15 million inhabitants adjacent to Hong Kong and near the Pearl River Delta. The city can be reached by foot, car, subway or ferry from Hong Kong.Elevated to one of UNESCO Creative Cities in 2008 with excellence in design, it was truly a worthy place to host our international art exhibition of the 13 young Asian and Middle Eastern artists who interpreted the theme ‘multiculturalism’ beautifully. But Shenzhen is a lot more. It is a modern city in Southern China focusing on manufacturing, technology, financial industries, and outstanding shopping malls. To cater to the young crowd who likes the latter, the Bold. Art. exhibition opened its doors to the public at the Yitian Holiday Plaza in the Overseas Chinese Town (OCT). The mall is a shopping paradise and houses offices and the Yitian Westin Hotel.
In addition to the outstanding art pieces, we also displayed our kaleidoscope that attracted quite a bit of people to gaze through and imagine the future.
