The one-of-a-kind Bulgari Resort Dubai opened late in 2017 on the manmade island of Jumeira Bay that looks like a seahorse. Ever since, we were looking for the right occasion to take customers, business partners, and colleagues there to experience the ‘urban oasis’ and unique setting. The Middle East Distributors Dinner on 16 July 2018 was perfect to gather 21 guests at the luxury hotel that was designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. The resort is connected to the mainland by a 300-meter bridge and combines traditional Arabic and contemporary Italian architecture styles. It is so outstandingly beautiful that it was just put on the ‘It’ list of Travel + Leisure Magazine in 2018 for architecture, design, fine dining, and service. Distributors, our management, and the Kohler Middle East team can attest to the great experience and the world-class service. The distributors dinner started with a meet-and-greet, networking, fine finger food, and canapes as well as some welcome drinks. After presentations by Larry Yuen, president K&B Group, Salil Sadanandan, president Kohler brand South Asia, Middle East, and Sub Saharan Africa, and Sandeep Singh, commercial director K&B Middle East, attendees proceeded to a delicious four-course dinner in a private dining room. The lively discussions centered on the topics of Kohler’s bold future, the new legal entity in the Middle East, and the way forward of the sanitary business in the region. Everyone was excited about the prospects of working more closely and more efficiently together. The Bulgari Resort Dubai that is in scale and magnitude a first for the company comprises of the resort, six residential buildings with 173 sea-facing apartments, 15 mansions, and a first-ever Marina and Yacht Club. The 101-room resort that offers a range of gourmet restaurants and bars, a private beach and a 1,700-square-meter spa including a hammam is the fifth Bulgari Hotel and Resort in the world after Milan, Bali, London, and Shanghai. There are not enough words to describe the property and its lush surroundings and it rests only to say: put it on your list to visit next time you are in Dubai.
