The 2018 China National Distributor conference kicked off on 7 March 2018 at the W Hotel in Suzhou, China. Under the theme ‘Bold Heritage. Bold Future’ guests and hosts enjoyed a colorful welcome party at the design-focused hotel.David Kohler, CEO and president of Kohler Company, Larry Yuen, President K&B Group, and Cedric Ong, President K&B China, greeted the almost 300 guests with a toast and raised glasses. The evening was fun-filled with glamorous performances, glittering product displays including Artist Editions’ Dutchmaster Midnight Floral, music, and delicious foods and drinks. In short, a perfect opportunity to network and a great start of the conference.
On 8 March 2018, David Kohler talked to the distributors about the history of the company, the bright visions for the future, and the great results the China team has achieved with the help of all the present distributors. Larry Yuen followed with more good news and encouraging remarks. He took the audience on a journey from the past and way into the future. He spoke of changing and disrupting economies and how a design-focused business with strong market partners can achieve even more, better, more efficient, and productive results going forward.Cedric Ong and his team continued the conference along the same lines talking strategy, tactics, serious business and some fun. Distributors learned about newest products and services, latest trends, and got inspiration from the presentations, discussions, and the amazing product displays.
The day concluded with an exceptional gala dinner. A few more words from senior management and then they were literally ‘off to the races’ and ‘high fiving’ each other. A stationary bike competition ensued, mixed and enhanced with some virtual reality tools and images to take participants out of the ballroom, city and into blooming fields – maybe even pretending they were riding the bike on the trails in Kohler, Wisconsin, USA.Stage performances, annual awards recognition, good food and drinks kept the guest going and celebrating the 145th anniversary in style and late into the night.
