The iconic Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center is a reason alone to attend events but the 12th edition of the Cityscape Abu Dhabi – the premier real estate and investment conference and exhibition in Abu Dhabi – had to offer a lot more for designers, developers, and real estate professionals. 100 exhibitors displayed their products and services during the four-day event to over 15,000 attendees, built new customer relationships and rekindled existing ones. In addition to the trade exhibition, the one-day conference themed ‘Rewriting the Rule Book – Generating growth in Abu Dhabi real estate’ with high-caliber speakers on the first day and the interactive Cityscape Talks on the three consecutive days had visitors hang on the edge of their seats. Regional and international industry experts and visionaries shared their insights about global and regional trends, future developments in real estate and related areas, and unveiled flagship projects in Abu Dhabi. Kohler’s commercial director Yann Dhalluin took the stage during one of the Cityscape Talks to introduce the ‘smart bathroom’ idea to the audience. He talked about the latest trends in this field and encouraged everyone to learn more about the technologies and connectivity for sanitary wares. The future of bathrooms is already a reality for our company with intelligent toilets and the Verdera voice controlled mirror that is taking the world by storm. A real hit at CES in the USA at the beginning of the year, this product is fascinating customers from different regions. Dhalluin continued to look into the crystal ball of the future. He presented a vision of designing ‘smart bathrooms’ that provide an improved safety net for people who need assistance, an integrated bathroom solution that would alert emergency services, family, and friends in case there was a problem such as a fall etc. Organizers and exhibitors were quite happy with the increased interest in the real estate fair this year and are already planning for the next one from 16 to 18 April 2019.
