The Cityscape Egypt ran for the seventh time this March in Cairo, Egypt, and it was kind of a big deal.The Egyptian real estate market has found its footing again and is looking promising. Many hospitality and residential projects are emerging.First of all, there were two parts to Cityscape 2018. It kicked off with an inaugural two days of conferences and talks on 12 and 13 March 2018 at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza. The conference was followed by the trade exhibition on 28 to 31 March 2018 that was held at a new location this year: the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) in Mehwar, Almosheer Tantawy in New Cairo.Cityscape is the largest real estate investment and property show in Egypt, attracting 70 exhibitors from the industry to present the latest and most innovative products and services to the audience and approximately 50,000 visitors.With the new addition of conference days, Cityscape became even more attractive to the real estate market players, especially considering the remarkable speaker line-up. At the same time, the organizers also held the Cityscape Awards for Real Estate in Egypt. The Awards recognized excellence in eight categories including development, architecture, forward-thinking leaders and more.The very well attended trade show also featured industry talks that were free-of-charge for visitors to attend. The topics ranged from investing in properties, regional market trends, investment hotspots, financing, and banking solutions.As a Gold sponsor of the conference, our Kohler Middle East team was present during the duration of both events. The 200 guests from public and private sectors and industries comprised of senior decision-makers who discussed the future of real estate investment and development in Egypt. During the breaks, they had time to wander around our booth that featured Artist Editions sinks, PVD faucets, and a San Raphael toilet. The two Artist Editions pieces were just a sneak peek for the exhibition booth.At the booth, seven Artist Editions sinks were displayed creatively for visitors to see the range of products and the creativity that goes into the creation of our products.The Cityscape Egypt Talks consisted of an interesting program and speakers. Our guests, Mona Hussien, Founder and CEO of Mona Hussein Design House, Heba El Dessouky, Head of Interior Design of EMAAR, Maged Salah El Din, VP Portfolio Management of Palm Hills, and Amr Ghaly, Chief Design Officer of New Giza, covered a range of topics including ‘Happiness of Architecture’, ‘Connecting People – Design – Ideas’, and ‘Interior Design and The Art of Transforming Your House into a Home’.
