Downtown Design Dubai opened on 14 November 2017 as part of the Dubai Design Week. The only trade show of this kind in the Middle East showcases established and emerging brands, products and services including furniture, lighting, bathrooms, kitchens, textiles, accessories, and more.
Among all the great art and installations, we have our booth at D3 with lots of new and exciting products and services. Can you spot us? It is not that easy among the 150 brands from 28 countries.
Over 550 designers are participating in the free six-day celebration of ideas, innovation, culture, and designs. The event is a platform for local and international designers and creatives to revel in latest trends, learn, visit exhibitions, talks, and workshops.
Some of the installations blew us away. For example ‘Silent Call’ by Khalid Shafar, a chandelier inspired by mosques – brainchildren of Islamic architecture.
Or the Abwab pavilion, a mesh structure made of disused bedsprings, designed by Dubai-based architectural studio Fahed + Architects. The pavilion houses works from Middle Eastern, North African and South Asian design talents.
