The iF Awards are 65 years old and stronger than ever. The latest iF Awards received 6,400 submissions from 2,955 participants from 54 countries in seven design categories: packaging, communication, interior architecture, professional concept, service design / UX, and architecture. This is the highest number of submissions received since the beginning of the awards in the 1950s.
A 63-headstrong international jury comprising designers and creatives from all walks of life deliberated during three days in the Schuppen 52 in Hamburg’s port on who should receive a recognition.
Finally, 1,218 entries were recognized and 75 of them receive an iF Gold Award. The jury members agreed that they set the way for the future of design. The entries were judged based on innovation, collaboration, functionality, aesthetics, responsibility, and positioning. As in previous years, the winners were officially announced during the gala night at the BMW Welt exhibition center in Munich, Germany.
