A mere 24 hours after the Grand Opening of the KEC Taipei, David Kohler raised his glass to officially inaugurate the Kohler Experience Center (KEC) in Bangkok, Thailand. This is the fifth KEC in the world after New York, London, New Delhi, and Taipei.Bangkok’s KEC opening also coincides with the 15th anniversary of Kohler Thailand. The beautiful new retail space in Nobel Remix 2 Condo near the trendy Thong Lor skytrain station, just east of the Central Business District, sports a post-industrial, minimalist style with an artsy touch. The center of the showroom opens up to an art space, the main distinguishing factor from many other sanitary ware showrooms in the city. In this space an ‘old friend’ from our Bold. Art. collection found a new home. Taiwanese artist Chen An-an’s art piece ‘Dinner’ perfectly fits in this environment by contrasting the serious straight black lines with its organic, almost floating forms. The 700 square meter retail space offers latest innovations in intelligent toilets, prominent PVD faucet displays and an Artist Editions gallery. In the four suites, visitors experience live water, the latest products and technologies. Also, integrated into this KEC are a co-working space based on the growing trend of collaborative working in public spaces and a coffee bar.Tanapoom Malisuwan, Head of Marketing and KALLISTA of Kohler Thailand welcomed the crowd and introduced David Kohler to the invited guests and the media. After David’s speech, the famous Thai singer and actress Rudklao Amratisha entertained the guests while they mingled and explored the showroom.
