In honor of the first anniversary of the Kohler Experience Center (KEC SGP), the Singapore team went all out for a great party on the evening of 16 August 2018. Kicking-off the festivities with the first of the 2018 KOHLER Design Forums and four excellent speakers sharing their thoughts and insights about ‘all things connected’, the KEC SGP was shining in its best light. When the lights went out after the KOHLER Design Forum, guests continued to mingle in the well-designed showroom, catching up with friends and making new acquaintances. Additional guests arrived around seven o’clock the event was underway to start the official part of the anniversary party. Angel Yang, president K&B Asia-Pacific, and Adam Quek, general manager and commercial director K&B South East Asia, welcomed the 320 designers, architects, developers, distributors, and media representatives to the premises. In unison with Mark Bickerstaffe, director new product development K&B, they launched a series of videos to put the audience in the celebratory mood. Mark remained on the stage for a couple of short product presentations where he pointed out Eir, the latest in intelligent toilet technology, and continued to share his thoughts on the Smart Home development that he earlier mentioned during the KOHLER Design Forum. His presentation was followed by Karl Hinkfuss, marketing manager faucets K&B Asia-Pacific, who fascinated the listener with insights of the Components Collection. No better way than to re-energize an audience is a laser show and give them a breezer. The short, intense light show had everyone pull out their phones and sit up straight in their seats. With all the attention on stage again, Rachel Foong, marketing communications manager K&B South East Asia, explained the recent art jamming stewardship activity with Very Special Arts Singapore (VSA). During the event at the Goodman Arts Centre architects and designers created several beautiful, unique art pieces that were showcased throughout the KEC SGP that night. The proceeds of these pieces will go towards an art program at VSA that will allow people with disabilities to learn more about the visual arts and the business of art. Bee Hong Tan, associate director marketing K&B South East Asia, concluded the line-up of speakers announcing the global partnership with Manchester United. After that, guests and hosts enjoyed the cozy space of the KEC SGP for drinks, finger food, chatting, and networking.
