The 2019 KOHLER Design Forum series launches on May 24, 2019, at the Vancouver Convention Centre, West Building in Vancouver, Canada. Exploring the KOHLER perspective of Experiential Luxury, the KOHLER Design Forum Vancouver offers a forum for architects, designers, and industry players to share and learn about the details, layers, and dimensions of luxurious expressions.
In succinct presentations, the KOHLER Design Forum Vancouver speakers take the audience on journeys into the world of luxury and their dimensions of home spaces, designs, technologies, colors, patterns, materials, and expressions.
After a short introduction by David Kohler, president and CEO of Kohler Company, the well-known speakers will dive into their respective fields engaging guests with illustrative examples. The speakers in 2019 are:
Ramsin Khachi, owner and principal designer of Khachi Design Group, is known for his timeless, elegant and uniquely customized spaces. He focuses on inventiveness, sensibility, and sophistication as the foundation of his design philosophy. Ramsin frequently lectures at design colleges, industry events, and other occasions to share his insights and knowledge of premium construction. He is a nationally recognized design and built contractor.
Jason Sarai is the founder and creative director of Style by Sarai & SARAI BESPOKE. His company and brand stand for the empowerment of individuals to feel strong and confident in their personal style. Through bespoke experiences that not only incorporate tailored, physical components of fit and design but psychological and individualistic needs necessary for clients to be their own style icon. He travels to discover experiences and gathers inspiration. Jason serves on the executive committee of the Covenant House Sleep Out and is the co-founder of 1KARMA alongside breakfast television host Riaz Meghji.
Erin Lilly, decorative design studio manager of Kohler Company, is committed to immersive, user-centric spatial design. She leverages her passion for trend forecasting and innovation to drive leading edge color, material and finish solutions for Kohler Company. Prior to joining Kohler, Erin worked in several consultancies that catered to luxury hospitality, retail, and furniture industries. She is a graduate of the industrial design program at the College for Creative Studies.
Upon finishing their perspectives, speakers come together for a panel discussion to solidify their insights and take questions from the audience.
