KOHLER Konnect is a new platform to personalize the bathroom and kitchen experience in a room with Kohler appliances. The prototype was first exhibited in the US at CES where we had a booth for the first time. KOHLER Konnect is an easy way to personalize and automate every day and routine tasks in the kitchen and bathroom with a voice controlled device and an app.The first KOHLER Konnect was introduced in June 2016 at the Kitchen & Bath China trade show and significant updates have been shown at the Ideal Home Show in China in December 2017. The big bang and official introduction to the American and international market were during CES in Las Vegas in the beginning of January 2018.The smart home platform is connecting a range of products in the kitchen and bath space. Customers can conveniently personalize their experience in these rooms with two efficient helpers – voice control and an app.
The smart home technology features voice-enabled technology to adapt the shower, bathtub, toilet, smart mirror, smart faucet to the customer’s needs and wants. Through Amazon Alexa technology, the Verdera® Voice Lighted mirror’s lights will be dimmed or brightened or with the click of a finger, the bathtub sensors are activated and will fill it to the rim with the water at the perfect temperature that the user desires through PerfectFill technology. The app is set up for each bathroom user and their grooming needs and allows individual settings.
This takes a lot of routine jobs out of one’s day and turns it from ‘arrrrgh, I need to figure this out’ to a click or a voice command – turning it into a remarkable moment.
In addition to the Verdera mirror, KOHLER Konnect will be available in 2018 for Senate kitchen faucets, DTV+™ showering system allowing sound, water, steam, and light to be adjusted and changed for a very personal experience, and Numi® Intelligent toilet for touchless toilet functions, a foot warmer, personal cleansing bidet, heated seat, ambient lighting, and sound.
KOHLER Konnect is the first large smart suite in the marketplace. All of this and more are currently being developed in the Smart Experience Lab at Kohler that opened in late 2017.
The future is here – connecting everything is a reality.
