London Design Forum – speakers confirmed


Only a few days left until the London Design Forum.

The speakers and panelists for the first European Design Forum on Tuesday, September 20 starting at 6 pm at 10-11 Clerkenwell Green, in London, are confirmed.

josh-fehnertLeading through the evening will be Josh Fehnert, Monocle’s design editor and Monocle 24 Radio’s design show host. Each week, Josh presents Section D, a 30-minute weekly show showcasing the world’s best designs, innovative architecture and out-of-the-box fashion on Monocle 24 radio. He has worked at Monocle for four years and is the editor-in-charge as well as a frequent contributor to the design pages.


The three speakers and panelists will be Katie Treggiden, Hugo Macdonald and Mark Bickerstaffe.

Katiekatie-treggiden is a design journalist, editor and curator with many years of experience in the creative industries. In addition to writing for Design Milk, Elle Decoration and other well-known titles, she regularly writes for Monocle 24. Katie is also the founding editor of Fiera Magazine that was first published in 2014 and the award winning blog “confessions of a design geek”.



hugo-macdonaldHugo founded his own consultancy business last year, but continues to be a writer.  He advises clients such as Airbnb, Erdem, Four Seasons and IKEA and others on design, architecture and hospitality. Hugo previously worked as brand director at Ilse Crawford’s design studio. Recently he published his first book by Pan Macmillan for The School of Life in 2016 – “How to Live in the City“.



Markmark-bickerstaffe is our Director of New Product Development, Kitchen & Bath in Europe and Asia Pacific and leads a team of highly talented creative people working from studios in Paris, London, Cheltenham, and Shanghai.

The invitation-only Design Forum series will continue in Asia to inspire architects, designers and design-interested individuals with interesting panel discussions and high-caliber networking sessions. The next Design Forum will take place in Beijing on September 26, 2016.
