January is the month of European trade shows and trend setting on the old continent. After Heimtextil, Domotex, and IMM Cologne in Germany, Maison & Objet 2019 in Paris, France, is the next hotspot to pick up latest interior design trends.

The lifestyle design trade show that has been running since 1995 celebrates this year the re-emergence of France onto the international platform. Well, we all know that they have not really been gone, but it is always nice to see their renewed presence.

How could we forget the elegance and forward-thinking the French bring to every table? Maison & Objet 2019 will bring a fresh focus on differentiation in a globalized world. While many things become unified, some things need to be different. The 3,000 exhibitors at the show will make sure that they show visitors just how different, diverse, and abnormal objects, things, and concepts are.

Under the theme ‘Excuse my French’ the organizers bring the spotlight back to the host country at Maison & Objet 2019. The refined style and chic in art, fashion, home furnishing, interiors, and more is inherently French and continues to fascinate not only the more than fifty percent of the attendees coming from outside of France, but also the French, and interior design fans who are not on the ground.

The Maison & Objet 2019 Paris receives annually around 90,000 industry professionals who are keen to learn the best and latest about interior design. The Frenchness that will be emphasized comes with a new twist of international influences and mirrors the mood of fusion that is felt in all design hubs around the world. The trend of mix n’ match has not stopped at the borders of France and will have a big, strong part at the trade show.

At the Trend Forum in Hall 7, architects and designers see a unique space design inspired by the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles combined with some disruptive elements such as a small truck parked in the middle. The design is an echo of the talks that bring up contradictions, dissonance, and disturbances in the interior world and spark discussions.

From January 18 to 22, 2019, Maison & Objet 2019 is the stage for trend seekers and finders. On 115,000 square-meters insiders will find like-minded people to network, exchange latest information, learn about innovation, and marvel at new developments.
