Malaysia: Anniketyni Madian’s textile-inspired wood


Anniketyni Madian is a Sarawakian artist who is now based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She graduated in 2009 from UiTM, Shah Alam, Senlangor, Malaysia, with a BA in Fine Arts majoring in sculpture.

Deriving her inspiration from the exotic Pua Kumbu textiles, her art pieces have a personal, contemporary touch that makes every sculpture unique. Anniketyni’s current work is fresh, energetic and visually arresting. It is an embodiment of her love for her native culture.

In 2015-2016 she has participated in several exhibitions in Malaysia, Asia and internationally.
