With so many guests and friends in town for the Kitchen & Bath China 2017, we also officially launched the KOHLER Exquisite Collection and KALLISTA with a highly dotted media event. Our Nanjing Road Showroom was transformed into a magical, exquisite space with twinkling lights, sparkling decorations, extraordinary food and our own Jacob Delafon sparkling wine.
Under the theme “Best of the Best”, the innovative products in the Exquisite Collection and for KALLISTA were presented to a captive audience. No seats were left in the house – actually very little standing room, too.
The audience attentively listened to the presentations and interpretations of “exquisite”.Mr. Chen Kexin, a Hong Kong film director, talked about “Life is Art and Art is Life”. He explained how the relentless forging of an idea makes it better and better and ultimately exquisite.
Other speakers at the KOHLER Shanghai Design Experience Center on Nanjing Road were Steve Leung, a Hong Kong architect and the president of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (until 2019) who shared his vision and thoughts on how product and interior designers approach the term “exquisite”. And how they interpret and transform it in their work.Larry Yuen, President Kitchen & Bath Group, gave an insight perspective on the design process. Lun Cheak Tan, director Design Studio K&B Asia Pacific, and Bill McKeone, design studio manager for KALLISTA, took the audience on a journey of exquisite materials, craftsmanship, technology, and design.
A big hit was the interactive display with more twinkling lights on the second floor, where guests could find a unique faucet knob with their names engraved.
