For the second time, our UK team exhibited our latest products and services including ModernLife, Veil toilets, and PVD Finishes at the Sleep, the hotel design event that took place in London’s Islington district on 21 and 22 November 2017. The conference that is in its 12th year was under the theme “Loyalty: Lessons in Love” and attracted a record number of designers, hotel management professionals, and hotel design interested people from all over the world to the Business Design Centre.
During the two conference days, there were lots of opportunities for networking, attending roundtables and keynote presentations, and visiting the exhibition booths. The talks ranged from new dining concepts to sourcing local to creating a more caring attitude towards design to enrich the guest experience. The 160 exhibitors presented the latest and hippest about hotels, restaurants, bars, and designs.
This year’s Sleep Set, sponsored by us, featured four rooms that demonstrated how design influences the feeling of love and loyalty. Stonehill Taylor from New York City took home the prestigious award, sharing it with their co-designers YPRT, a UK design firm with Turkish roots. The set IRUS is a highly-customizable space for the open-minded, global nomad pairing external influences with internal.
After the first conference day, we took the learnings to heart and invited architects and designers for a special customer dinner at The Brewery in London. Together we celebrated our brand, a successful exhibition, loyalty, and lessons in love. It’s all about the guest experience, and we did our best to make it an outstanding moment. Mark Bickerstaffe underlined the experiences and the moments with his trend presentation about ‘Mastering Moments‘.Our guests and the conference visitors, in general, were very happy about the event. They found it immensely useful for the project specifications, meeting people and learning about industry-specific trends and innovations.
