Since 50 years, Consumer Technology Association (CTA) creates CES, the global event for consumer technologies. At this high-level business event players from all industries and, of course, the major technology companies come together to present, learn and marvel at the latest innovations. From 9 to 12 January 2018, Las Vegas is under the technology buzz. Any earnest technology professional and technology interested person flocks to Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, to attend the latest CES® event with about 170,000 like-minded others from more than 150 countries.
The trade show was launched in 1967 in New York City and has grown exponentially in the traditional and non-traditional technology industries. This is the one event to get the latest and coolest in trends and innovations in the technology business. The 3,900 exhibitors give their best to impress the attendees and will compete to leave them speechless with their latest products and services that are on display and can probably be experienced and tested right there on the spot.Among the exhibitors are manufacturers like us, developers, suppliers of consumer technology hardware, content, technology delivery systems and more.
300 conference sessions cover the gamut and the vibe of the technology world. They are delivered by world-class business leaders from multinational companies and start-up CEOs who will be the next generation of business leaders as well as pioneering thinkers.
Key trends and emerging technologies are presented and discussed in detail to give the convention attendees an even deeper understanding of all the novelties that they can see on the exhibition floors.
Another part of the trade show focuses on books. Although this might seem to be going back in time and unrelated to the latest trends, Gary’s Book Club is a platform for authors to give interviews and sign their latest book related to innovations and technologies. World-renown legal fiction writer John Grisham chose to introduce his latest non-legal thriller ‘The Tumor’ at the Book Club. Certainly another part of the show to discover and check out.Due to its size, the convention is spread out in several locations:
• CES Tech East at the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center, Westgate Las Vegas, and Renaissance Las Vegas creates a world where visitors have to duck drones and can flee into virtual and augmented reality spaces.
• CES Tech West at Sands Expo / The Venetian, The Palazzo, Wynn, and Encore at Wynn is the place for convention attendees to learn about emerging technologies, fitness, health, the Internet of Things, smart homes, and can visit Eureka Park, the CES start-up community with more than 900 exhibitors.• CES Tech South at ARIA, Park MGM and Vdara offers guests a place to learn how to market, advertise, entertain, educated, network, and experience exhibits and hospitality suites. If you are not there yet and you are going to miss CES 2018, note the dates for CES 2019: 8-11 January 2019 in Las Vegas.
