At 7:11pm on 13 June 2017 we welcomed 53 designers and architects from Dubai and the region for an Iftar meal at Coya restaurant in the Four Seasons Jumeirah Resort. The restaurant was designed by Sagrada. It has several branches around the world – London, New York, Dubai etc and is well known for its Peruvian food.
Iftar, the meal that breaks the daily fast during Ramadan, is the most important meal of the day.The Coya restaurant was the perfect location to share this special meal, some joyous moments and inspiring conversations with senior designers from architecture and design firms including Godwin Austen Johnson, Kristina Zanic, Hirsch Bedner Associates, WATG, dwp, Aedas, Wilson Associates, LW Desgin Group, Woods Bagot, Pallavi Dean, and MMAC Design Associates.
The meal concluded with a sticky toffee date cake and camel milk ice cream, lots of laughter, good music. Before leaving the guests received the traditional gift of a box of dates that we customized for this event.
